Adviser, Operations and Business Improvement (multiple)

  • Salary: $97,955 - $111,142(Plus Superannuation)
  • Ongoing, full-time role (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)

The Role

The Adviser, Operations and Business Improvement, supports the delivery of core business operations and provides operational and administrative support and analytical input to enable efficient and compliant delivery of corporate services.

Reporting to the Senior Adviser, Operations and Business Improvement, this role contributes to the coordination, improvement, and monitoring of functions including governance, administration and workforce services. You will also work with Creative Victoria's First Peoples team to support self-determined engagement and help embed First Peoples perspectives in the work of Creative Victoria.

The Adviser, Operations and Business Improvement, is part of a team that provides operational and administrative support across corporate service functions including, but not limited to:

-        Coordination of day-to-day operational activities to support internal business functions

-        Assistance in implementing and monitoring operational systems, policies, and procedures

-        Preparation and quality review of documentation including reports, dashboards, and executive briefs

-        Provision of logistical and administrative support across the group

-        Assistance with procurement and contract management processes where required

-        Participation in compliance activities and maintenance of accurate operational records

-        Contribution to business improvement initiatives and process reviews

The Team

The position of Adviser, Operations and Business Improvement, forms a part of the Policy and Delivery Branch within the Creative Victoria Group. 

The branch brings together Creative Victoria's programs and investment in support of artists, creative workers, creative organisations, businesses, and portfolio agencies, with our work to manage and deliver world-class creative infrastructure. The branch also leads on policy and coordination across government and industry, and the development of Victoria's creative industries strategy.

Desired experience:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor outputs to various audiences
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, frameworks, and procedures in an operational context
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Experience working in team environments and coordinating cross-functional tasks
  • Familiarity with government governance and reporting requirements
