Senior Officer, Strategic Delivery and Reporting
- Salary: $113,022 to $124,884 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed Term role for up to 2 years
- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)
The Role
The Senior Officer, Strategic Delivery and Reporting, supports the Manager in the planning, coordination, and tracking of Local Jobs First strategic initiatives and reporting. The role contributes to the development and implementation of strategic and operational work plans and priorities, monitors project progress, and assists in preparing high-quality reports, dashboards, and briefings for senior stakeholders. The role works across business areas to support effective data gathering and ensure reporting aligns with departmental priorities and government requirements.
Main accountabilities:
- Provide high-quality coordination, project management and analytical support to the VPS6 Manager and the broader team for the planning and delivery of a range of strategic initiatives and projects aligned with Local Jobs First, departmental objectives and Government priorities.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of defined policy and operational projects that support business growth and whole-of-government priorities by providing timely advice, insights and analysis.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of performance monitoring and reporting and help identify risks or delays.
- Collect, analyse, and synthesise data and insights to inform evidence-based reporting on strategic objectives, operational performance and future improvement opportunities, including by contributing to the ongoing refinement of strategic reporting and delivery processes.
The Team
The position of Senior Officer, Strategic Delivery and Reporting, forms a part of the Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent Branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment Group.

About You
Use your demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and interpret data and performance information, translating it into accurate and meaningful insights, reports, and dashboards. Your proven experience in supporting the delivery of projects or strategic initiatives, including monitoring timelines, coordinating tasks, and ensuring documentation is up to date and fit for purpose will enable you to achieve the objective of this role.
