Manager Strategy and Delivery

  • Salary: $113,022 – $136,747 per annum (plus superannuation)
  • Tenure: Fixed term to 30 June 2028
  • Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)

The Role

The Manager Strategy and Delivery leads the development and implementation of initiatives under the Victorian Government Sustainable Data Centre Action Plan. This role works across government, industry and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact projects that support sustainable economic growth and investment attraction.

The position provides strategic advice on data centre-related issues, manages complex projects, supports implementation planning, and delivers secretariat support for the Taskforce overseeing the Action Plan. The role suits a proactive and collaborative professional with strong project delivery, policy and stakeholder engagement capability.

Main Accountabilities

  • Apply complex concepts to policy development, research and project delivery
  • Provide leadership in adapting and applying concepts to operational matters
  • Manage and lead projects aligned with organisational objectives
  • Initiate research and analysis within an area of expertise
  • Initiate, maintain and negotiate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support timely delivery

The Team

The position forms part of the Trade and Investment Strategy and Delivery unit within the Industry, Trade and Investment Services Branch, Industry, Trade and Investment Group.

The unit provides applied policy, trade and investment insights and delivery capability to identify, attract and facilitate priority investment opportunities across key sectors, and coordinates complex, cross-sectoral initiatives.

About You

You bring demonstrated experience translating strategy into well-governed programs and projects that deliver outcomes. You are skilled at influencing and persuading diverse stakeholders, building support for ideas and negotiating to achieve timely results. You apply critical thinking to solve complex problems, define clear governance and success measures, and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

A relevant tertiary qualification in economics, public policy or a business-related discipline will be well regarded.
