About the branch

The Regional Services Division is responsible for the service delivery of initiatives, programs and services. On-ground works and services will conserve environments, protect culture and heritage, manage visitor facilities and improve opportunities and support fire and emergency management.

Service delivery is managed and delivered within the demands of the Divisional Action plan and the requirements of the Division's state-wide fire and emergency role and in partnership with community and government agencies.

 

About the role

As the Project Coordinator you will lead the planning and delivery of priority Dhelkunya Dja DDW Country Plan identified projects and Joint Management projects as per Parks Victoria's agreement with the Dhelkunya Dja Traditional Owner Land Management Board (TOLMB). You will also possess excellent rapport building and project management experience as you will be consulting with Traditional Owners, community groups to manage project planning and delivery phases in partnership with the Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation (DDWCAC).

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Lead the review (assessment) of existing Cultural sites and their protection concerns, in consultation with DDW Rangers
  • Lead the liaison between the two Regions to ensure a consistent approach to managing the RSA areas
  • Ensure that DDW Aspirations are incorporated into PV plans and strategies, including on-ground action plans
  • Provide advice to all staff to assist in the development of park notes, engaging with Licenced Tour Operators and promoting the Joint Management Planning process.

 

To be successful for this role you need demonstrated experience in coordinating or managing multiple complex projects, extensive relationship building skills and ability to negotiate and influence. Also a Certificate IV Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management or equivalent experience in field.
