About the role:  

As a Ranger, the primary focus of your position is to plan for, and deliver, in park services as supported by the Team Leader Area Wide Programs to enable efficient and effective delivery. You will be involved in a broad range of parks and reserve management duties including project management and the delivery of specific programs across the Bacchus Marsh work centre and Geelong Area footprint.

You will be offered training, learning and development opportunities to deliver a level of environmental and service expertise, as well as be supported by Parks Victoria to obtain any qualifications and tickets required to undertake specific tasks and roles. 

You will be adaptable and flexible to on the ground service requirements in order to ensure superior park management services are achieved at all times. You may be required to work rostered weekends where they are remunerated through the payment of a Rostered Weekend Allowance (annual allowance of their substantive base salary). 

We're looking for someone with:

  • A background or qualification in natural resource management
  • Experience with managing a number of projects in a collaborative environment is desirable
  • An ability to communicate effectively and to achieve agreed outcomes
