Position Details
Project Officer
- Salary: $100,894 - $114,476 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed term role: until 30 June 2027
- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)
The Role
The Project Officer requires a strong problem-solving and analytical mindset coupled with well-developed communication skills to produce meaningful insights that are easily understood for sport and active recreation sector stakeholders.
Main accountabilities:
- Drafts reports and recommendations by interpreting and analysing data
- Defines the appropriate methodology in the analysis of policy or research options
- Researches and develops recommendations in a specific field of expertise
- Negotiates and manages straight forward, corporate contracts and service agreements
The Team
The position of Project Officer forms a part of the Community Sport and Recreation branch within the Sport and Experience Economy group.
Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) Group delivers programs and initiatives to support positive experiences and a sense of belonging through sport, tourism, events and outdoor recreation.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: If required, determines additional information needed to make informed decisions. Applies critical thinking and problem-solving concepts in the right context.
- Policy Design and Development: Determines relevant data and evidence gathering approach; Conducts critical analysis on data and evidence collected.
- Project Delivery: Defines tasks to be delivered to meet agreed outcomes; Coordinates and guides others in the execution of work activities; Monitors progress of tasks against plans and takes corrective action when required.
