Fair Jobs Code Senior Program and Project Officer
- Salary: $116,413 - $140,849 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed term until 31 August 2027
- Usual hours of work: Full time
- Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (flexibility may be available)
The Role
As the successful candidate you will have demonstrated experience in successfully managing all stages of program and project delivery. With strong analytical and policy development capabilities, you ensure policy objectives are met through high quality, timely and efficient delivery using systems and processes.
Potentially managing a small team, you will also be responsible for identifying, scheduling and managing work priorities of other team members that ensure the effective delivery of the Fair Jobs Code. You can translate complex issues into clear, evidence-based advice through formal and informal briefing approaches and communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to agree and achieve outcomes.
You will help review, refine and shape policy, and ensure the effective implementation of the Fair Jobs Code, responding to evolving priorities for the Fair Jobs Code and the IDCMT Branch.
Main accountabilities:
- Advice and analysis influences policy development
- Contributes to strategic business planning Interprets and applies business plans and policies in own area of responsibility and provides advice to others on implementation issues
- Contributes to strategic corporate initiatives and is responsible for implementation
- Prepares technical reports at an advanced professional level
The Team
The position of Fair Jobs Code Senior Program and Project Officer forms a part of the Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent branch within the Industry, Trade & Investment group.
The Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent (IDCMT) Branch is responsible for shaping and ensuring the delivery of the Victorian Government's industry development agenda. The branch develops policies and delivers programs that drive sustainable economic growth and workforce inclusion, leading to higher living standards for all Victorians.
About You
- Project Delivery: Translates strategies into programs or projects that enable achievement of outcomes required.
- Data Literacy: Considers data volume, variety, velocity, and veracity to establish data collection (e.g. data parameters, data structure) and analysis (e.g. analysis equations, data visualisation) approach.
- Policy Design and Development: Formulates and communicates public policy options and recommendations; Develops a clear narrative for the policies and business cases including clear problem definition and objectives.
- Strategic Planning: Thinks at the whole of system level and undertakes internal and external scanning, considering wide-ranging possibilities in developing a vision for the future.
