Position Details

  • An opportunity to gain operational leadership experience in a fixed term role
  • An important position in the Bacchus Marsh team which includes managing Werribee Gorge, Lerderderg State Park and Brisbane Ranges National Park
  • The position leads a team of up to 6 including 3 Rangers and 3 Ranger (Field Services);

About the role

As the Ranger Team Leader, you will lead a team of staff to deliver high quality services in line with the Regional Operations Plan, with support and under the direction of the Area Chief Ranger. As the Ranger Team Leader, you will be required to lead the team at Bacchus Marsh, by providing advice, supervision and guidance. The role includes both office administration work and being out in the field with team members, contractors and other agency staff.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Skills in leadership and people management
  • Experience in park estate management including working with traditional owners.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service focus both internally and externally.
  • Track record in dealing with external stakeholders on a range of land management issues.
