About the branch

The Melbourne Division is responsible for the delivery of on-ground works and services that conserve environments, protect culture and heritage, manage visitor facilities and improve opportunities and support fire and emergency management. The division consists of a diverse range of Local Ports, waterways, parks and reserves

About the role and your responsibilities:  

Are you a highly motivated individual looking for a new opportunity? As the Project Officer you will be responsible for a high level of administration, time management, community and stakeholder engagement and project management whilst performing a variety of tasks and work on all phases of the project under direction from the Area Chief Ranger.

Your primary focus will be supporting the Area Chief Ranger to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships both internally and externally to deliver time critical and politically sensitive projects.

To be successful for this role you will need:

  • Demonstrated strong customer service focus both internally and externally
  • Strong communications and contractor management skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility in workload management
