About the branch:

 The Regional Services Division is responsible for the service delivery of initiatives, programs and services. On-ground works and services will conserve environments, protect culture and heritage, manage visitor facilities and improve opportunities and support fire and emergency management. The Regional resources will support environmental, social and economic outcomes for rural, regional and urban communities. Service delivery is managed and delivered within the demands of the Divisional Action Plan and the requirements of the Division's statewide fire and emergency role and in partnership with community and government agencies.

Staff working within the region are responsible for providing efficient and effective implementation of a broad range of often complex park management functions within the demands of the Divisional Action Plan.

About the role and your responsibilities:

At Parks Victoria, we love building healthy parks for healthy people. In this vital role, you'll provide leadership to the team and ensure the delivery of our action plan and development of the region! As the Regional Project Coordinator you will be accountable for managing the delivery of externally funded environmental works projects across a diverse range of areas. You will have a demonstrable track record in leading, managing and implementing action plans as this will be a crucial responsibility of the role.

The programs and projects coordinated by the Regional Program Coordinator will need to be successfully delivered with consideration to time, budget and quality variables. The role will require a strong communicator with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships, understanding both stakeholder and customer needs to ensure fit for purpose solutions can be put in place.

To be successful for this role you will need:

  • Demonstrated high level judgement and analytical skills, supported by experience in problem solving and decision making
  • Strong track record in leading and managing team performance
  • Extensive experience in Project Management and multiple portfolio management
