Position Details
About the role
As the Ranger, you will support a small team to service and maintain park facilities including picnic areas, campgrounds, roads, and walking tracks. You will provide information and guidance to visitors, local communities, traditional owners, and other stakeholders. You will be offered training, learning and development opportunities to deliver a level of environmental and service expertise, as well as being supported by Parks Victoria to obtain any qualifications and tickets required to undertake specific tasks and roles.
We're looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Relevant level of knowledge of regulations and compliance procedures
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- A tertiary qualification in Certificate or Diploma in Conservation, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management and/or equivalent experience in a similar field is preferable
