Position Details

The Victorian Building Authority (VBA) is seeking a Senior Regulatory Advisor to lead the development of sustainable solutions. This role will assess the regulatory environment, respond to emerging trends and challenges in the building and plumbing industry, and develop recommendations for regulatory change.

This is a newly created team, and as such we are looking for positive, energetic and dedicated people, who wish to further their careers by contributing to continuous improvement of the building sector.

 

Responsibilities

  • Undertake specific environmental scanning of the regulatory environment.
  • Coordinate consultations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with professional service experts to develop frameworks and methodologies.

 

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • excellent analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to identify and analyse trends, develop systems and processes and implement effective interventions and solutions;
  • strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to develop clear, concise and accurate reports, briefings and presentations for a range of audiences; and
  • proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders, including negotiating outcomes, developing trust, and forging partnerships.

 

Salary Details

A base salary in the Grade 5 range of $98,396 to $119,052 per annum plus 9.5% super.
