About the role

The Ranger (Field Services) will deliver in park services as directed by the Ranger Team Leader to enable efficient and effective delivery at a district level in accordance with the Regional Action Plan. The position will be accountable for the delivery of on the ground works including, but not limited to, maintenance of assets, infrastructure, and facilities; and the field delivery of environmental projects The Ranger (Field Services) will undertake Fire and Emergency response activities in accordance with requirements and level of training. The Ranger (Field Services) will be accountable will be for personal performance and demonstrate a strong personal work ethic. The position will actively participate in a team environment and ensure that the overall success of the team is considered to be an outcome of individual success. The Ranger (Field Services) will be adaptable and flexible to on the ground service requirements in order to ensure superior park management services are achieved at all times.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Natural Resource Management and/or Horticulture and/or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated practical skills and experience in the maintenance and operation of large broad acre maintenance machinery, small equipment and tools for horticulture maintenance including plant, chainsaw and machinery operation experience
  • An endorsed driver's licence MR or better would be an advantage
  • An endorsed Agricultural Chemical User Permit (ACUP) would be an advantage
