About the role

As the IT Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer, you will have the responsibility of ensuring that Parks Victoria's IT infrastructure is well-maintained and functional. This includes data center infrastructure, servers, networking, backups, disaster recovery, virtualization, identity, and access management, as well as cloud services. The role will require you to manage IT infrastructure, platforms, and cloud services to meet industry standards and best practices. You must provide excellent customer service to all customers and colleagues within Parks Victoria, ensuring that service levels, customer expectations, and project outcomes are met. As part of your duties, you will need to undertake day-to-day operation and management of IT infrastructure, platforms, and cloud services, making sure that routine administrative functions are consistently carried out to the highest quality standards.

We're looking for someone with:

• Significant technical proficiency and experience across IT Infrastructure operations, Cloud, and on-premise technical environments.
• Demonstrated technical experience with the Microsoft suite of products and platforms, and particularly have technical experience in a combination of the following: hyperconverged infrastructure, VMWare, Commvault, Server OS's, InTune, HPE Aruba, Citrix, Palo Alto, O365 and Azure.
• Strong awareness of security requirements in the management of IT Infrastructure operations, and deep technical experience with cyber security solutions and tools, both deployment and ongoing management.
• Strong customer focus service, interpersonal skills, and an agile mindset always looking for opportunities to learn and improve.
