About the role

As a ranger, you will be responsible forundertaking park management duties including Pest Plant and Animal Control, Vegetation Management, Roading, Park Patrol, Visitor Management, and many varied Park Management tasks. This is an incredible opportunity to begin working in a newly formed team on the establishment of new parklands for the community in Melbourne's South East.

We're looking for someone with:

      • Plant, chainsaw, and machinery operation experience.
      • Practical skills in the maintenance and operation of machinery, small equipment and tools.
      • Skills in the maintenance and construction of a range of park facilities, including, signs, campgrounds, fences and walking tracks.
      • Demonstrated experience in customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
      • Certificate or Diploma in Natural Resource Management and/or equivalent experience in a similar field.
