Occupational Therapist

Grade 2

8 Hours per week (Ongoing)


The West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy team. Our team is comprised of nine Occupational Therapists and five Allied Health Assistants located in a purpose built Allied Health Building / Community Rehabilitation Centre. Our department encourages and supports staff attending professional development activities and supervision and support are available to the successful applicant. 

The Occupational Therapist position is a part time position which will assist with work and non-WorkCover related injuries to provide assessment, management strategies and report writing for employees of West Gippsland Healthcare Group.  It also involves provision of Occupational Therapy services across inpatient and outpatient areas as required.  

Our preferred candidates will hold:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Occupational Therapy Board.
  • Membership of the Australian Occupational Therapy Association or equivalent.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • A high level of theoretical and practical clinical knowledge in a wide area of Occupational Therapy practice.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal & written) skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
