Position Details

Ambulance Victoria (AV) is currently recruiting a Project Manager in a full time capacity, based in our Blackburn North office.


About the role

This position is responsible for managing projects, ensuring that time, budget, compliance and quality objectives are met.  This role will manage end-to-end project delivery, analysing data, interpreting results, preparing reports and managing the implementation of recommended changes, in line with AV's Project Management Framework, including associated processes and templates


Reporting to the Operations Program Manager, the position includes management of the following key activities:

  • Manage projects using the AV Project Management Framework and associated templates and procedures, to meet desired time, budget, compliance and quality objectives
  • Identify project risks and develop contingency plans in line with the AV Risk Management Framework and AV Project Management Framework
  • Implement approved plans and strategies within project budget parameters and time frames, develop strategies to reduce costs against the approved budget
  • Create detailed project plans, including a project timeline and a proposed budget for approval by key stakeholders
  • Manage or oversee multiple projects simultaneously as required


About you

To be considered for this position you will have a demonstrated experience in program/project management methodologies and appropriate certification (preferably PRINCE 2), success in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and preferably experience and familiarity of project management within a government environment. Conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure is valuable.

The salary range for this position is $115,203 to $131,659 + 9.5% superannuation.
