Position Details

Ambulance Victoria (AV) is currently recruiting a Business Intelligence (BI) Solutions Specialist in a full time capacity, based in our Blackburn office.

 

About the role

This specialist position is responsible for the deployment design and implementation of the Ambulance Victoria Analytics and Reporting capability, both current and future. This role is to provide specialised technical leadership in the implementation and management of Analytics and Reporting: Data Sources, Hardware Platforms, Applications and the End User layer. This role will require being ‘on call' on a roster basis.

 

The position includes management of the following key activities:

  • Lead the design, deployment and management of the Business Intelligence technology stack
  • Actively participate in the design, deployment and management of the AV Repository and data modelling tool suite
  • Design, build and document extract, transform and load (ETL) interfaces into the AV Data Warehouse
  • Design, build and document Oracle OBIEE Repositories to support business requirements
  • Use BI research and awareness to recommend possible BI Application system improvements and enhancements to the Business Intelligence Team Leader
  • Promote and train AV staff in the most effective utilisation of the BI Technology Stack
  • Provide effective and efficient assistance to manage the AV Data Warehouse user presentation layers

 

About you

To be considered for this position you will need a tertiary qualification in a relevant information technology discipline, a strong demonstrated understanding and the capability to develop Star Schemas and information models, experience in GIS and Mapping for BI, Oracle systems and relevant Oracle tools as well as significant experience in Analytics and Reporting implementation and management. You will also have interpersonal and influencing skills to gain the acceptance and support of ideas, cooperation of others, and the ability to modify styles and techniques to accommodate tasks, situations and individuals.
