Position Details

Applications are invited from suitable Registered Nurses to undertake full or part time positions within our Emergency Department following the opening of our new Emergency Observation Unit. Applicants must have a post graduate critical care / emergency qualification or a willingness to undertake in the coming year.

Warrnambool is a popular seaside city located 264 kilometres southwest of Melbourne, with a population of 34,000.  The city boasts excellent sporting, education, social and cultural facilities offering an attractive lifestyle opportunity.  There are several thriving industries within and surrounding Warrnambool.  

South West Healthcare, Warrnambool Hospital Campus, has 192 inpatient beds and is the major specialist referral centre for southwest Victoria, providing a comprehensive range of specialist services. The Warrnambool campus treats in excess of 15,000 inpatients and 25,000 Emergency Department patients per annum, is a designated Regional Trauma Service and has a 6 bed Critical Care Unit. 

The successful candidates should be currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and should have demonstrated high level clinical and problem solving skills together with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
