Position Details

Senior Occupational Therapist 

Grade 3 (0.6 EFT)

      

Applications are being sought for a 0.6 EFT Senior Occupational Therapist in a permanent position in the Occupational Therapy Department of Central Gippsland Health.

 

The priority of this senior position is to work collaboratively to provide an effective generalist occupational therapy service at CGHS and provide professional and clinical leadership to the service.  This position is based at the Community Rehabilitation Centre in Sale. As the senior and most experienced member of the Occupational Therapy team, the position holder will actively participate in the planning, coordination, evaluation and implementation of a range of clinical and departmental interventions that supports reflective, evidence-based practice. The position holder will provide clinical leadership, guidance, support and clinical supervision to all Occupational therapy staff and to OT students where necessary. A clinical component with direct patient/client care is required.

Mandatory Qualifications/Skills/Competencies:

  • Degree qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA)
  • Victorian drivers license
  • Current clear Police Check and Working with Children Check

 

Desirable Skills/Competencies:

  • Experience working as a senior Occupational Therapist in an acute or community health service setting
  • Experience in project management and quality improvement
  • Experience with student supervision
  • Experience with clinical staff supervision across a range of clinical areas
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Clinical area of expertise in Occupational Therapy
