About the role

Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, the primary purpose of the Internal Communications Manager position is to provide strategic advice, support and execution of internal communications strategies that support Parks Victoria's strategy, vision and culture.

 

This exciting and challenging role, working in a high-paced environment, is required to deliver considered and tailored communications that enhance awareness, engagement and understanding of organisational messages, strategies, objectives and activities through a planned and strategic approach.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead a small team delivering high quality strategic internal communications that support the organisation's strategic goals
  • Advise senior leaders and internal stakeholders on internal communications and change management
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and dialogue by helping to connect people across the organisation through channels like Yammer, Skype for Business, roadshows and events.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • Extensive experience in strategic internal communications
  • Strong business writing and editing skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of the organisation, including the Senior Leadership Team
  • A tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism and/or substantial relevant experience is desirable
