Position Details

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded community based emergency services organisations. We respond to fire and other emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whilst our firefighters are the cornerstone of CFA services, what goes on behind the scenes is just as important in helping to protect lives and property.

In this role you will provide competent, effective, efficient and confidential administrative and project assistance to Senior Managers and their respective teams.  This is done in a mature manner with the ability to use discretion and judgement as required.

Some specifics of the role include:

  • Prepare and produce material for presentations and/or reports to support projects - determine and design appropriate methods of presentation.
  • Administer systems, databases and/or spreadsheets; gather and input data, and maintain the data through updating of records to ensure completeness, accuracy and currency of information.
  • Manipulate the data/information for analysis to support projects.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of administrative procedure and have an advanced level of experience.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills including the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability at an intermediate or advanced level, in the use of personal computers and software applications - incl. MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise duties to meet objectives and strict time lines.
