Position Details

A permanent full time opportunity exists for suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurses to become part of a dynamic team as the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) Oncology.  This position is based in the South West Regional Cancer Centre which is a new state of art cancer treatment facility.

The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the human, physical and financial resources within the Unit.  The NUM actively leads the Oncology team in a consultative and participative manner ensuring well planned and coordinated services to clients and their families.  The role provides clinical leadership to foster patient focused and outcome directed nursing care.

Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the South West Healthcare values of Caring, Respect, Integrity, Excellence and Leadership with well develop competencies in both the clinical and management area.  A minimum of five years acute post graduate nursing experience and a post graduate qualification in the specialty area is essential.
