Registered Nurse Grade 2

Permanent Full/Part-Time Hours

 

Situated in Warragul, approx. 100kms east of Melbourne, we are seeking an experienced nurse with a passion for all that is perioperative!

 

Our local area is expanding at a rapid rate and with funding for expansion of our department having been approved we need new staff members to help us move forward with these exciting developments.  Our unit has registered nurses working in anaesthetics, PACU, and intraoperative roles.  On call duties require one night per week and one weekend per 4-5 weeks, with overnight accommodation available for those out of area.

West Gippsland Healthcare has a very supportive learning and development team with onsite education programs and simulation rooms. An ALS training package and certification is offered for operating suites staff. Support is also available for those wishing to undertake post graduate studies in perioperative nursing. We also have salary packaging available and free car parking.

 

The ideal candidates would have the following

  • Have current AHPRA registration
  • Some experience in perioperative nursing
  • Be willing to extend their knowledge and skills to all roles within the operating suites
  • Have the flexibility to work all shifts and on call duties
  • Be committed to being part of a regular team environment in a close knit community
  • Interested in obtaining post graduate qualifications in the future (if not already)
  • Well-developed organisation, communication and interpersonal skills

All appointments with the West Gippsland Healthcare Group are subject to the satisfactory return of professional reference checks and a National Police History check.
