Position Details

Multiple fixed term opportunities exist for Media Monitors to work in the Strategic Communications, Engagement and Protocol Branch within the Department of Premier and Cabinet. These are full time, fixed term positions for three months.

Working within the Media Monitoring Unit, you will undertake daily media monitoring tasks and preparing short summaries of the day's broadcast news for relevant stakeholders.

Other tasks involve notifying stakeholders of breaking news, dealing with client requests regarding their media monitoring needs while applying knowledge of relevant legislation and State Government protocols, and typing transcripts of the Premier when requested.

To be successful in this position you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal with the wide variety of clients the MMU engages with on a daily basis. Previous media monitoring experience is advantageous and highly regarded.

Salary is $57,206 - $63,201 p.a. plus 9.5% employer superannuation contribution.
