Rural Allied Health Service


Full-Time Position

Fixed Term January 2018 to January 2019

This position primarily involves the provision of Podiatry services to community based clients of the Baw Baw Shire in accordance with agreed targets and funding models. Service provision is also required within local aged care facilities and within acute wards as required.  This position includes provision of clinically sound podiatry services within a clinic settings and occasional home visits; managing clinical /service delivery environments; providing appropriate leadership and supervision to an Allied Health Assistant (AHA), foot care nurses and students and participate/presentations to a variety of groups.  The position will also require the provision of services under the Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS) via a donation model.


Required skills and experience include:

  • Bachelor of Podiatry (or equivalent qualification)
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Current Drivers License.
  • Previous clinical experience in a Community Health or HACC setting
  • Experience working with an Allied Health Assistant.
