Nurse Practitioner – Palliative Care

Registered Nurse – Nurse Practitioner

Ongoing Full time position

 

We have an exciting new position available for a suitably qualified senior nurse to join our team in the delivery of safe, high quality person centred care within the West Gippsland Healthcare Group. This new role will work across the inpatient setting and the community setting, delivering specialised complex nursing assessment and care planning within a larger multidisciplinary team structure to patients and caregivers with a life limiting illness. Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to foster collaborative working relationships with all disciplines are essential.

 

Required skills and experience include:

  • Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board as a Registered Nurse, including current valid endorsement with AHPRA as a Nurse Practitioner. 
  • Minimum of five years of current relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical decision making and clinical assessment skills.
  • Ability to work within a Nurse Practitioner Palliative Care Professional Development Framework and gradually progress to an ‘Advanced Practice Expert' level of competency. 
  • Ability to deliver education in line with roles and responsibilities of Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current driver's license.
