Position Details

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded community based emergency services organisations. We respond to fire and other emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whilst our firefighters are the cornerstone of CFA services, what goes on behind the scenes is just as important in helping to protect lives and property.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the primary purpose of the role is to support the effective financial management of CFA through the provision of high quality financial management services to programs and projects.  This is a key role to ensure consistent and efficient application of financial management activities across the CFA project and program environment within Infrastructure Services

The successful applicant will have:

  • Proven experience undertaking a similar role for projects and/or programs in a large and complexorganisation
  • Business analysis and modelling skills including the ability to interpret, analyse and synthesise information and translate into succinct and meaningful intelligence for the broader finance team
  • Compelling financial credibility combined with sound business acumen
  • Tertiary qualifications a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics or on a course of study leading as part of obtaining such a degree
  • Ability to work accurately in high pressure situations under tight timeframes with the ability to quickly identify and distill key issues
