Health Information Services Clerk

Permanent Part Time / Casual

Health Information Services is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced clerical staff member. The focus of the role is on the provision of an efficient and effective health information service and the provision of timely and accurate information as requested by our internal and external customers.  The role of the HIS clerk is vital in the provision of medical record services within the West Gippsland Healthcare Group. 

Required skills and experience include:

  • Relevant experience in healthcare
  • Demonstrated computer skills & experience with software applications including Microsoft Office & patient administration systems.
  • General clerical skills including filing, medical record work, reception & switchboard
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Medical terminology would be an advantage

Day of work may vary according to the requirements of the department
