We have a rare opportunity available within our Supply Department in the role of the Supply Manager. Reporting to the General Manager – Corporate & Finance, the successful applicant will demonstrate strong experience in all manner of procurement processes, have excellent team and change management skills, possess superior negotiation skills and strive to deliver high quality customer service. This pivotal role includes responsibilities for supply planning, contracting, procurement, inventory management and information systems. The management of the department will be in line WGHG values and competencies in maintaining integrity and compliance with procurement regulations and procedures.

Qualifications and experience required for the role include:   

  • Diploma/Certificate in Supply and materials management or equivalent
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in tendering and contract management.
  • Strong leadership, people development, negotiation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead, train and mentor employees on a personal level
  • A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements.             

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Business Administration
  • Previous Experience within a hospital or health care environment.
