Position Details

If you're passionate about public administration, an opportunity is available to join the Cabinet Office within the Department of Premier and Cabinet as the Manager, Cabinet and Committees.

The core duties include providing high quality advice and support to the Premier, Cabinet Secretary, Secretary DPC, Ministers and Senior Executives across Government on the management of Cabinet and its Committees.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a small team that supports the administration of Cabinet and Cabinet Committees, including engagement across all departments. The position works closely with the Office of the Cabinet Secretary to manage the flow of business and consultation across Government. An important focus of the role is to develop and deliver solutions to improve the quality of support for Executive Government decision-making.

The role requires a professional and highly-organised individual, with a thorough understanding of government processes, and the ability to work in a complex, sensitive and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong experience in working productively across Ministerial offices and departments, as well as experience in managing a small team with a dynamic work agenda. The successful candidate will also be able to maintain a high level of attention to detail across multiple agendas.
