Position Details

Physiotherapist - Grade 2

Fixed Term – Part Time

8 hours per week – 05/03/18-31/12/18


An opportunity exists for a Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and supportive Physiotherapy Team. Our team is comprised of twelve Physiotherapists and five Allied Health Assistants located in a purpose built Community Rehabilitation Centre. Physiotherapy services are supplied to the following areas:

  • Inpatients: Surgical, Orthopaedics and General. High Dependency Unit. Paediatrics
  • Inpatients: Medical, Neurology, Obstetrics/ Gynaecology
  • Emergency Department
  • Community Rehabilitation Centre, Outpatients & Hydrotherapy
  • Rehabilitation Groups including: Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, Hip and Knee Rehab and the Strength and Balance Training Group
  • Rural Allied Health Service (Domiciliary Service)
  • Geriatric Evaluation and Management Program based at Neerim South Hospital

 

Our preferred candidate will hold:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Recent experience working as a Physiotherapist.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - Physiotherapy Board.
  • Membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association or equivalent.
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
  • A high level of theoretical and practical clinical knowledge in a wide area of Physiotherapy practice.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal & written) skills.
