Employee Wellbeing Officer

Permanent Full time role

Managers & Administrative Workers Grade 4 (HS4)


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of the Employee Wellbeing officer. Reporting to the Work Health & Wellbeing Manager, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides the support to the organisation over a wide range of health and wellbeing services, where you're primary responsibilities will include; the coordination of the Workers Compensation program, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the provision of management advice for employers returning to work with personal injuries or health limitations. In addition to providing case management services to injured workers and their managers, an important aspect of this role will be working with our Occupational Therapist to provide a proactive education service for workplace injury prevention.


Our preferred candidate will have:

  • Experience within a similar role in either Health or a comparable industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and knowledge of Accident Compensation legislation.
  • Familiarisation with Equal Employment Opportunity and other Employment Instruments.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • WorkCover “Return to Work” Approved training.


The following experience/qualifications would be also considered advantageous:

  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations.
  • Workplace Training Certificate IV.
  • Previous experience with electronic claim management systems
