Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Dental Assistant to join South West Healthcare as part of the South West Dental Services group. This temporary (12 month) part time 30 hours per fortnight position is based in our Portland clinic however travel to other sites may be required.  

This role will assist with direct chair side client care in accordance with Southwest Healthcare and DHSV clinical standards and policies. It will also assist with the administration of the office and computer systems.

It is expected that the successful applicant will have experience with both Dental Assisting and administrative/reception skills, demonstrated high level of clinical competence, knowledge and understanding of the required applications and procedures, and knowledge of dental public health principles. An ability to work under pressure and in a team environment as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also required.

A Certificate III in Dental Assisting is preferred but not essential.
