Position Details

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded community based emergency services organisations. We respond to fire and other emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whilst our firefighters are the cornerstone of CFA services, what goes on behind the scenes is just as important in helping to protect lives and property.

The primary purpose of this position is to support this complex project through provision of efficient, effective and confidential co-ordination and administration services for the Respiratory Protection Replacement Project.  This includes co-ordination of general administration, managing and facilitating meetings, production of a wide range of project documentation and maintaining a variety of project files and spread sheets.

Working with limited direction from the Program Manager, the Project Support Officer will administrate the project.  This will be accomplished by collaborating with the wider Joint Project Team.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing project support services and an understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Sound interpersonal skills, a proactive approach together with well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a small team.
  • Well-developed planning and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and meet tight timeframes.
  • Demonstrated excellent skills with Microsoft Office products including Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
