Position Details

  • $80,247 - $91,049 per annum (plus 9.5% superannuation)

 VIT is a statutory authority for the regulation of the teaching profession in Victoria, registering teachers in Victorian government, Catholic and independent schools / early childhood services.

Due to internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Conduct & Compliance team as an Investigator.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the standards of professional conduct expected of all Victorian registered teachers is maintained. The incumbent will do this by undertaking investigations into professional conduct matters across the broad jurisdiction of the VIT, including, conduct, competence, fitness, impairments and criminal offences.

The Investigator will be required to work closely with the Senior Investigators, Investigations Manager and all members of the Conduct and Compliance Business Unit, to ensure the effective and timely progression of cases and other disciplinary and regulatory matters. Additionally, the Investigator will liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

To be considered for this role you will require:

Experience in conducting investigations in a regulatory environment and demonstrated knowledge of or experience in the teaching or education sector are highly desirable.
