Position Details

Speech Pathologist

Fixed Term Contract


Applications are being sought for a speech pathologist to join our team for a maternity leave cover, up to 0.9 EFT position through until July 2019.  The speech pathology team consists of 6 speech pathologist and 2 allied health assistants and sits within a larger Allied Health team at Central Gippsland Health.


The speech pathology service at CGH provides a wide range of services, including Early Childhood Intervention, acute inpatients and rehabilitation, Aged Care, NDIS and some private contracts, in addition to home and community care, community women's health and specialist outpatients clinics. 

The exact nature of the caseload would be determined based on the experience of the applicant but is likely to have a significant paediatric component. 


The applicant would join an experienced team, who can provide leadership, guidance and support to assist the applicant to develop their skills as needed. There is the potential to job share this position.

Mandatory Qualifications/Skills/Competencies:

  • Degree qualification or equivalent in Speech Pathology. 
  • Eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Victorian drivers license
  • Current clear Police Check and Working with Children Check


Desirable Skills/Competencies:

  • Experience working as a speech pathologist
  • Excellent Communication skills
