Position Details

About the Role

We are looking for an innovative and proficient individual to join the VEC’s Election Services team on a fixed term contract. Reporting directly to the Print and Design Coordinator, the Print and Design Officer is responsible for assisting in the design and production of printed election products and the development of new products to support the VEC’s business. This role will also support the major projects of the Election Services team, and play a major role in the preparation for State and Local Government elections.

The successful applicant

The successful applicant will be self-motivated, with highly developed conceptual and analytical skills to help identify emerging issues and trends, and develop and implement products and procedures to support best business practices for the VEC.

You have a knack for process improvement, with exceptional attention to detail. You will have well-developed interpersonal, negotiation and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise and negotiate with a range internal and external stakeholders.

Finally, you have highly developed computing skills including demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite 6 and above, Java scripting and knowledge of XML database systems.
