Position Details

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Accountants for two Senior Systems Support Specialists working across Victorian rural and regional health agencies. These newly created fulltime, fixed term (3 year) positions can be strategically located within Victoria with each preferably based at different host sites provided by nominated health agencies. Both positions have a state-wide role and the successful applicants will be required to provide expert knowledge and advice across all rural and regional health agencies both remotely and through on-site visits.

DHHS has partnered with Subject Matter Experts to provide a revised IT support model which delivers value to day to day operations of agencies. The revised support model provides a consistent and effective approach for agencies to access required Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) support and optimise functionality already available on agencies' platforms. This model comprises a centralised (but not centrally located) System Specialist Support Team (SSST) for the provision of application support that ensures the features of Oracle R12 are maximised and any available functionality of R11i is being used in its proper capacity.

The successful applicants will have strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels.  Applicants should have experience in the functional support of Oracle e-business FMIS modules, the ability to support a financial and supply user base, produce user guides and functional specifications for system changes and deliver user training.                                                                                                             

Applicants will have appropriate tertiary qualifications leading to membership of the Australian Society of Accountants or equivalent, a current Victorian Drivers Licence, consent to and undergo a Police Record Check and provide evidence of current immunisation status in alignment with South West Healthcare's Immunisation Policy.
