Position Details

South West Healthcare is looking for suitably qualified Allied Health Assistants (AHA) for casual positions supporting the delivery of Inpatient and Orthopaedic services.  These roles primarily involve weekend work.

The AHA's will support and assist the work of the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team by undertaking a range of delegated tasks, both clinical and non-clinical.  The AHA's will work in clearly defined parameters, but the role will be flexible with a mix of duties determined by the needs of the team.

The selection criteria includes but is not limited to; Certificate IV Allied Health Assistance or equivalent, the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment, an understanding of the social, emotional, physical and psychological aspects of the needs of rehabilitation care and complex health needs as well as having advanced skills in word processing and associated office software and well developed verbal and written communication skills.
