The Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner (OVIC) was established in September 2017 under the Freedom of Information Amendment (Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner) Act 2017.

OVIC takes on the functions that were previously performed by two separate bodies, the Office of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Commissioner and the Office of the Commissioner for Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP). This new legislation has ensured that one body manages FOI, privacy and data protection regimes and has broad oversight of the Victorian Government's information access and management practices.

Situated in the Communications and Education Team, this newly created graphic and digital design position will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our corporate, agency and general community communication, training and education publications. It will be essential to embed yourself within our business units to ensure publications convey complex concepts in plain English while being visually appealing and meeting accessibility standards.

As the graphic and digital designer for OVIC you will provide design services across a range of communication initiatives including digital, print, eLearning, and social media platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring a clear and effective visual style, influencing the way government agencies and the community experience our publications and training products. This will involve anticipating their needs, and bringing that vision to life. You will manage all things design. A particular emphasis will be placed on maintaining the integrity of our brand as it evolves, growing our digital presence and designing materials that meet the needs of different stakeholder groups. This position is either full time or part time.
