Almost every year between June and September the Southern Right Whales return to the waters off Warrnambool and often swim within a hundred meters of the shore.

Position Details

Applications are invited for the temporary (12 months) 48 hours per fortnight position of Reconciliation Action Plan – Project Coordinator. 

South West Healthcare is committed to developing a health service that respects, embraces and celebrates the richness and diversity of Aboriginal culture. The Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) which is to be developed by the Project Coordinator will be aimed at taking steps to recognize and understand Aboriginal people and their culture. 

The successful applicant will have an ability to engage and communicate with a group of people, manage projects and influence systemic change, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to participate and contribute to a team environment whilst working autonomously. Excellent communication, time management and problem solving skills as well as demonstrated leadership skills are essential for the role. 

In the interests of self-determination and in recognition of the importance of bringing an Aboriginal cultural perspective to this role, recruitment is targeted at people from Aboriginal communities.
