Position Details

South West Healthcare's hospital and community-based Social Work and Counselling team invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced Social Workers in various full time and part time positions.

The role involves counselling, case management, advocacy, welfare work, and group work and health promotion. There is a strong focus on multidisciplinary teams and a patient centred approach to care. The department provides support and supervision from an existing team of experienced clinicians. 

Excellent interpersonal skills, well-grounded assessment and treatment skills, an ability to display flexibility within work practice, and an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team are essential. All applicants should hold relevant tertiary qualifications, eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and display an aptitude to work within a healthcare setting.
