Position Details

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded community based emergency services organisations. We respond to fire and other emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whilst our firefighters are the cornerstone of CFA services, what goes on behind the scenes is just as important in helping to protect lives and property.

An opportunity exists for a Recruitment Advisor to join our team to deliver all elements of the Career Firefighter recruitment process.

Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest volunteer-based emergency service organisations. It provides a diverse range of services to minimise the impact of fires and other emergencies on Victoria's communities.

Working alongside the Firefighter recruitment team the successful applicants will assist in all elements of the end to end selection process, including assist with the production of Firefighter recruitment documentation and assisting with the attraction campaigns.

Other responsibilities include liaising with and assisting candidates in the application process and presenting at promotional sessions.  You will administer psychometric testing and chairinterview panels as and when required.

The successful applicant will have experience with end to end recruitment campaigns including knowledge of attraction methodologies, behavioural based interview techniques and other selection methods. A tertiary qualification in HR or equivalent Industry experience is required.  Experience with attracting and encouraging diversity in applicant pools will be well regarded. You will possess excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills and have demonstrated the ability to work flexibly. Due to the nature of the role you will need a driver's license andbe willing to work occasional weekends and after hours.
