Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated Adviser to join the Enterprise Solutions branch to work on contemporary cyber security threats, and emergency management arrangements in Victoria.

This role contributes to the success of the Victorian government Cyber Incident Response Service (CIRS). The CIRS provides Victorian government organisations with expert cyber incident and emergency management services, operating from the Enterprise Solutions Branch (ESB) within the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The role will contribute to the effective management of cyber incidents and emergencies in Victoria, in order to reduce the scope, impact and severity of these events on the community. You will support continuous improvement in government cyber security capabilities through development of cyber incident response policies and procedures, and through management of cyber exercises and post incident reviews involving all aspects of the Victorian government.

This is a varied fast paced role that requires intermittent after-hours work both as part of an after-hours ‘duty officer' roster and during major cyber incident and emergency situations.

The closing date for this position is Thursday, 20 December 2018.

This position is only open to applicants with relevant rights to work in Australia.
