Position Details

The Public Sector Innovation branch works across government to build innovation capability, with a focus on how government employees can work in new or different ways to improve people's lives. Our approach is collaborative, engaged, flexible and outcomes-focused.

Our branch is seeking a motivated Senior Program Officer, who is genuinely interested in innovation and excited by the prospect of improving public sector outcomes.

The Senior Program Officer will work to support activities across the Public Sector Innovation branch and lead delivery of a number of projects financed by the Public Sector Innovation Fund - an $11m grants program designed to support small-scale collaborative projects, bringing together community, not-for-profit, business or academic organisations with government.

In this role you will help to drive more effective solutions to policy and service-delivery challenges. To do this you'll need to be a strategic influencer, smart negotiator, organised project manager, expert stakeholder manager, and confident communicator. You must be competent working in a dynamic environment, and expertise in design, data or digital services will be to your advantage.
