The promenade is very popular and you can walk, run, ride or skate along this scenic trail. Almost every year between June and September the Southern Right Whales return to the waters off Warrnambool and often swim within a hundred meters of the shore.

Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced HR leader to join our dynamic team. Working alongside the Executive Director, People & Culture, and other members of the leadership team, the role will focus on developing and building capability within the Department, as well as driving initiatives in the broader organisation. This role plays a key part in managing a small team delivering a range of operational HR services within a complex industrial environment and multi-site organisation. The role has been designed to have a high level of hands-on involvement in a range of employee and industrial relations matters, whilst also supporting the department on the journey of becoming a transformational People & Culture service in the future. 

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: 

  • Experience in an operational HR role, ideally with previous experience in leading and managing people;
  • High level understanding and knowledge of contemporary people management and human resources practices;
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with managers and staff at all levels;
  • Adaptability and the desire to undertake quality improvement initiatives.
