Position Details

Warrnambool is a thriving seaside city with a population of 34,000 and a catchment area of 110,000 people. South West Healthcare (SWH) is considered one of the most modern and technologically advanced health services in regional Australia. The Warrnambool campus is the major specialist referral center for south west Victoria and provides a comprehensive range of specialist services. Redevelopment plans have recently been announced which will include the construction of a new clinical tower, housing six operating theatres. 

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife to join the South West Healthcare team in the permanent full time position of Nurse Unit Manager in our Maternity Unit. 

The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the human, physical and financial resources within the Unit.  The NUM actively leads the Maternity team in a consultative and participative manner ensuring well planned and coordinated services to clients and their families.  The role provides clinical leadership to foster patient focused and outcome directed nursing care.
