About the opportunity

Moyne Health Services has an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist (Grade 2) to provide professional and clinical leadership within a multi-disciplinary Community Health Team who share our values of Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. This position is located at our Port Fairy site with some with some off site work within the community setting for our home based clients.

Your role will involve:

  • Overseeing provision of a comprehensive, integrated and high quality physiotherapy service to clients, patient and residents attending our service
  • Oversight and delivery of physiotherapist services in conjunction with Grade 2 physiotherapist and Allied Health Assistant
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments, formulating intervention plans and
    implementing for referred patients
  • Demonstrating competence in the correct procedures for equipment
    prescription and supply
  • Upholding physiotherapy conduct in accordance with the physiotherapy
    professional code of ethics, service regulations, legal requirements and
    scope of practice
  • Demonstrating competence in a range of clinical areas
  • Demonstrating competence in education of staff, patients and carers on
    matters relating to Physiotherapy
  • Organised clinical caseload to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Documenting patient assessments, care plans and professional
    recommendations in patients' medical record according to the hospital and
    professional standard.

We're looking for:

  • Current registration as a physiotherapist with AHPRA
  • Ability to effectively plan, implement and evaluate physiotherapy treatment programs
  • Extensive experience in aged and/or community care
  • Ability to problem solve and prioritise
  • Commitment to quality, best practice and environmental safety
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to  efficiently manage case load demands
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective customer focussed services
  • Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence based practice
  • Knowledge of quality/continuous improvement process
  • Flexible positive approach to work
  • Hold a current Victorian Drivers Licence
