About the role

South West Healthcare's (SWH) Mental Health Inpatient Services provides best practice nursing care for consumers in a recovery oriented model through assessment and clinical planning, in an inpatient 24/7 setting. Collaboratively our service provision is supported by our Mental Health Community teams and the Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC), providing excellence in care to the broader community in the South West region of Victoria. 

As an experienced RN, this role will work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to undertake a range of assessments and contribute to the clinical planning of individual care for each client. You will support the development and maintaining of a high quality care environment and promote and participate in quality improvement activities and initiatives.

We have opportunities for full-time, part-time and casual roles, following various internal progression and changes within the team.  Hours of duty are based on a 24/7 rostered shifts.

What you bring

As an experienced Psychiatric RN with a minimum of 3 years' experience and ideally holding post graduate qualifications (or working towards), you will have demonstrated experience and skills in delivering a broad range of psychiatric care and services to patients in a mental health environment, whether in an inpatient or community setting. Working as part of a collaborative and highly skilled team of professionals, excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential, and a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of legislation, regulation and contemporary practice is a must.
